It's kind of a big deal...

"Bad news don't seem that new to me."

Interesting line right? I was sitting in my room doing math and this song came on called "Advice" by Jesse Ruben, and that was the line that stood out to me. Sad that it's actually true? I listen to the news at night and hear stories of war, natural disasters, murder, suicide, and famine, and it does not even phase me! In fact, most of us choose to change the channel instead of listen to the horror that exists in our World. It's nothing new, so why not just change the channel and ignore it? I honestly do not know what I am getting at by sharing that line, besides the fact that I just need to vent for a minute to get it off my mind! Food for thought. Be a little better. Amen. Sermon over.

The college life continues to improve! I love my family dearly, parentals, you rock, but I love being in my own apartment with my awesome roommates!! Christmas break was great, but when I went back to Orem I did not realize how much I missed it!! From Kirsten dragging the Christmas tree out of the apartment, down the hall, in the elevator, and down the other hall and leaving a trail of pine needles the WHOLE way, to Rylee's laugh late at night, to Bri being the best and doing our nails, I have missed these girls!! Sadly now we all are on different schedules with school and work, and rarely get to see each other! But they're cute!

Oh and then there's this guy...I kinda like him a lot!! I won't name names, but let's just say he has made me smile more than any amount of dark chocolate ever would!!! He makes me feel like a Disney Princess; all sorts of googly-eyed and smiley! I get butterflies up to my chin whenever I see him!! Ok ok, enough with the "throw up in my mouth because this is so cheesy" story. But he is definitely one in a million, and I am lucky to have someone who treats me like he does!!

I shall now proceded to make a list of things everyone should try to make one happy. It's worked for me.
-Wearing a sock monkey hat, sweat pants, and FBI hoodie while you do math homework.
-Drinking hot chocolate while sitting on the counter
-Saying the word "squirmy." (Just say it, you'll laugh.)
-Listening to a Korean bishop say "As we begin this service," and thinking he said, "As we begin this circus."
-Yogurtland
-A new bottle of body wash
-Wrapping up in a blanket that is fresh out of the dryer
-Receiving a letter in the mail
-Dancing in the moonlight
-Sleeping in!
-Playing play-dough
-Getting a foot rub
-Having a good makeup day
-Having a sleep over in a cabin and staying up all night laughing
-Mountain Dew...ALL NIGHT
-A bubble bath
-Getting my nails done
-Having prayers answered
-Facewashing parties with the roommate
-Spontaneously crying because a song is EXACTLY what you needed to hear
-The movie "17 Miracles"
-Going through old memory books

The list could go on and on, but sadly I need to go eat some dinner! Try some of those things, or better yet, leave a list of something that makes you happy, and we'll all have a giant "list of happiness" exchange, and eventually the whole world will be happy. :)
